IMIX: Smarter Credit Access for Rural Communities
Company Background
IMIX is a Colombian fintech company working to expand access to finance in underserved rural areas. By partnering with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), IMIX has built Acá se Fía, a cloud-based credit platform that tailors loan assessments to the realities of smallholder farmers and local associations. The platform blends financial data with social and productive insights, offering more inclusive lending solutions.
Our Product
Acá se Fía uses a proprietary algorithm that evaluates repayment capacity based not only on financial metrics, but also the operational and social context of each applicant. This data-driven approach allows credit providers to serve rural communities more fairly and effectively.
With support from Incofin Foundation, IMIX is enhancing the platform through:
- User experience (UX) research with local CBOs
- Improved interface and offline functionality
- A decision-tree-based Q&A tool for user support
- Financial literacy and onboarding training for users
- Exploring partnerships with Colombia’s FNG guarantee system
The updated platform aims to support 3,000 farmers with productive loans that are both accessible and customized to local realities.
