We packed up cameras and headed to the farms in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia to ask a simple question: how does digital agriculture innovation actually look like when it reaches smallholder farmers?
The answer — captured across farms, cooperatives and communities — is now a documentary, filmed in Spanish with English subtitles.
The film follows several of the companies from Incofin’s AgTech portfolio as they bring their solutions directly into farmers' hands. You'll see SiembraCo connecting smallholders to new markets, IMIX expanding credit access for beekeeping communities, Hola Tractor making equipment readily available for farmers through a booking app — with an agent network that's over 90% women. You'll also meet the farmers and cooperatives working with Interactuar and Suyana, and hear in their own words what changes when the right tool reaches the right person. You will meet the founders behind the innovations and hear their perspective on how agricultural sector in Latin America could benefit from digital agriculture solutions.
The video is part of the Advancing Digital Innovation for Smallholder Farmers project, led by Incofin Foundation with support from IDB Lab and SSNUP.
Watch it below — and share it with anyone who wants to understand what farmer-centred innovation could achieve.
