Our webinar, “Lessons for Driving Digital Innovation for Smallholder Farmers in Latin America,” held on April 14, 2026, brought together farmers, Agtech organizations, and experts from IDB Lab, Appui au Développement Autonome (ADA), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), The Yield Lab Latam, The AgTech Network LLP, and Incofin. These leaders shared their insights on how to further unlock access to digital solutions for smallholder farmers.
Over 140 viewers learned about key strategies for implementing Agtech models in small-scale agriculture across Latin America. Furthermore, the session served to present the results and lessons learned from the project “Innovation in Ag Tech and Digital Agriculture for Small Farmers,” which will be shared in detail through a final report in the coming weeks. To date, over 30,000 farmers have benefited directly and indirectly from this project, which supported the development of pilot programs and the consolidation of existing solutions led by 14 organizations committed to inclusive Agtech tailored to the needs of smallholders.

On another note, we are extremely excited to collaborate for the second consecutive year with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) to promote the 2026 edition of Digital Agriculture Week (DAW).
IICA’s DAW has solidified its position as the leading ecosystem for digital transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is part of a broader suite of initiatives led by IICA to strengthen the regional Agtech landscape, such as its acceleration program with Endeavor (more information here) and the Agtech Network of The Americas (more information here).
Since its inception, the DAW has grown into a high-level forum where disruptive business models meet institutional and qualified partners. For the upcoming 2026 edition, Incofin continues its commitment as a Promoting Partner, reinforcing our focus on impact investing as a catalyst for productivity, climate resilience, and financial inclusion.
IICA will soon open a call for startups working in digital agriculture to participate in person during the event in San José, Costa Rica, scheduled for the second half of this year.
Do not miss the IICA launch event on April 29, 2026, at 09:00 a.m. (Costa Rica time | UTC -6) to learn more about DAW 2026 and the opportunities it brings for Agtech startups and other stakeholders. You can connect to the event here or scan the QR code in the image below:
